Skriza is built in Europe and runs on European servers. Made for people, universities, public authorities and companies who would rather not write for an algorithm.

Has anyone published a first-semester script as open educational material, exercises and solutions included? We are weighing it for statistics and I would like to hear what went wrong, not only what worked.

Most of the differences below follow from one decision: we make no money from your attention.
Every outside service on this list is a target, not a permanent state. Two are replaced: our own bot protection runs instead of Google reCAPTCHA, our own measurement instead of Google Analytics. The remaining two follow the same path.

Running entirely in the EU is a condition for opening to the public, not a later upgrade.

Where many platforms optimise for time spent, Skriza puts the value of content first — creating a protected space for education and lifelong learning.
Content that educates, inspires and delivers real value should come first. That is what we are working towards.
We are building moderation and safeguards before the platform opens — not afterwards, once the damage is done.
The public feed is ordered by published principles: replies count for more than likes, and views count for nothing. Readable under “Feed ranking”.
Universities, public authorities, companies and NGOs — on infrastructure that stays in the EU.
Students verify with their university email; institutions issue verifiable credentials and reach learners directly.
Verifiable credentials
Verified official channels with trusted, authoritative reach — the antidote to misinformation.
A credible, GDPR-max home for organisations that value sovereignty over surveillance.
Including the awkward ones.
Skriza is in closed beta and free for testers. Long-term, core use stays free — creators and institutions get optional paid features.
The ranking of the public feed is published — the formula and its weights are on /ranking, where discussion counts for more than views. That is the difference you can go and read; the others follow from it.
Core data — accounts, posts, media — sits on servers inside the European Union, with legal venue in Europe. A US-based CDN currently sits in front of the site, so connection data can pass through it; that is stated in our privacy notice and is meant to go before production. Your data is never sold.
Apply for the beta below. Approved testers receive a personal access key by email.
Youth protection is central for us — which is why we have not opened yet. Educational content first, plus moderation and parental controls: both being built, and a precondition for launching publicly rather than something bolted on later.
Skriza is a one-person project in closed beta, paid for out of pocket. It may come to nothing. If we stop, every account gets at least 30 days' notice by email, an export of your posts and messages, and the database is deleted afterwards. The data is not sold, including as part of an insolvency estate.
One person: Yusuf Senel in Langenfeld, Germany. The full postal address is in the imprint — no PO box, no shell company. There is no team and there are no investors; if you get a reply, it is from me.
Two fields, that is all we need. A person reads every application; a reply usually takes one to two weeks.
Spots are limited — we onboard in small cohorts.
